Title: Tree Peony
Post by: Sylvia on November 17, 2011, 03:02:19 pm
I want to move my tree peony up onto my field and wondered if this may be the best time to do it. It was planted as a "twiglet" about eight years ago and has just come into it's own as regards flowering. Any advice would be welcome. :)

Hi Sylvia,

I moved one from my sisters to my previous garden about this time of year - I did given it a prune though and a couple of bamboos in a tripod to given it a bit of support over the winter and it grew to sixfeet the next year with dinnerplate size yellow flowers; it also seeds well and I gave loads of little plants away.

Oh I did give it some blood/fish and bone in the planting hole.

Post a piccy when it flowers.
