Title: NADIS Parasite Forecast
Post by: SallyintNorth on October 30, 2011, 12:35:05 pm
NADIS have published the autumn parasite forecast - it's best to look at the details for your own region on their website:
http://www.nadis.org.uk/ (http://www.nadis.org.uk/)

A precis is that fluke risk is high in Scotland, Wales and the West of England.  They don't have data for Northern Ireland; if that's where you are please read the bulletin yourself as I'm worried that otherwise it'll be chinese whispers!

The report makes the point that some worms will be relatively inactive in the dry conditions most have at the moment, but warm (above 10C and to an extent even above 5C) wet weather could give rise to a rapid rise in infection - so watch your keeping / store lambs in these conditions.

There's a lot more, not all of it overly technical (!) on the website.
