Title: Warts
Post by: Moleskins on October 29, 2011, 08:59:55 pm
Has anyone any experience of this ??
What look like warts, apparent on the face but it seems they are more widespread.
After a while ( 2-3 weeks) they soften and go soapy - no bubbles but soft if you know
what I mean. The ones on the body have become detached but are left tangled with
the wool. Size wise they are about  as big as a match head.
The sheep, a lamb from this year, has been scouring and this hasn't cleared up after
worming so a second dose this time of panacur has been given, seemed better today
as regards the pooh problem. Not overly smelly in that regard.
This doesn't appear to be orf as far as I can tell as it's not open sores at all. Though
thankfully I haven't seen orf. None of the other sheep are effected this one and one other
now deceased have shown the signs, both from the same source. The other died of
a late fly strike just about a week ago, which I posted about. I'm watching this one closely
for that as you can imagine. Otherwise seems to be quite happy.

It doesn't ring any bells from your description - can you post a pic or two?
