Title: Cutting feed costs.
Post by: windymiller on October 25, 2011, 08:18:22 am
BIt of fun really but here's the lengths we went to over the summer to save some barley for pig feed, cut with a reaper binder and traditionally threshed by steam power using our engine, we did 4 acres like this, but we've extended it to 9 this coming year. machinery was very reliable despite a combined age of 320!

Marellous pictures, love to see old machinery still earning its keep. When i was a very little girl we used to go to my Great Uncles farm near Doncaster where they were still using horse power for some pulling and an old thresher like that.
Great to see. Hope the pigs aprreciate all your hard work.
