Title: Woolly Weekend
Post by: Shnoowie on October 14, 2011, 11:16:38 pm
Hi all,

Not quite sure where this should go, but I think the Craft section is appropriate. Shameless promotion!

Kelly House in Lifton, Devon will be holding a Woolly Weekend this weekend (10-5 Sat, 10-4 Sun).  As a celebration of all things woolly!  This is their first year, so they have a selection of felting, spinning and other wool related things (I think I heard the name Woolly Shepherd today...)
Next year they are hoping to involved some actual sheep/alpacas etc.
Entry is £3 per person, with £1.50 going to Children's Hospice (if it isn't CH, it is another children's charity).

All this to raise some much needed funds for house restoration; they were on Country House Rescue a while back, but were not rescued :(
I popped over today and met Sophia who has organised it all and she was in the middle of baking...if wool isn't your thing then the cakes will be!

Lara xx

Too late for this year, but we've got an events page now that you can put stuff on  :)

Wooly weekend sounds like a great idea.  :sheep:  If only it was nearer.
