Title: Shetland Pony Sale in Lerwick
Post by: sabrina on October 07, 2011, 04:38:48 pm
anyone hear how the sale went today, hope its a calm sail for the ponies tonight. Aberdeen sale on Monday, may go to the show on Sunday night but will keep away from the sale. Not good at keeping my hands in my pockets  ;D

I wasn't at the sale today, 1st time in the 7 years I've lived up here! (Welcome to the world of work!)
Spoken to a few people who were there and it sounds pretty dismal, 40 ponies left the ring without a bid at all and the prices were generally very poor, even fillies were going for 20 guineas... doesn't bode well for Aberdeen on monday! Bit breezy up here tonight but I'm sure they'll all quieten down and deal with it.
So glad I got my foal sold to a super home without the need for him to go through the sales  ;)
