are coming up for a year old now. The ginger one has always been a bit bigger, but now, its a lot longer, and taller, and fatter too than the other. The other is fat, and about the size of what I expected a kune kune to be, but the ginger one looks enormous.
I was at a show a few weeks back, and there was a really large kune kune wth 13 piglets. The owner said that one was on the larger end of the scale, and it looks like my ginger one will be too.

Big, small medium, they have become the only pigs for me ;D

Never fancied keeping them - but HappyHippy's KK sausages were lovely and we're having the KK pork on Sunday, so I may be converted ;D

Is it a gilt & a castrated boar you have Roxy ?
I find that the castrates stay pretty small and dumpy ;)
13 piglets eh ? That's a huge amount for the poor mum :o
I'm with Sylvia - they're not the only pigs for me as I have other breeds which I love too - but they are absolutely the sweetest natured, easiest to manage and most affectionate of all my pigs. Add to that the lovely pork they produce, the lower feed costs, lower impact on your land and it's easy to see why I love 'em ;)

HH, they are two gilts... cos I know where they came from! :D
Their mum is a big kk (her sister is much smaller but had Ginormous piglets this time round!)

People keep asking me if we are going to eat them - must be cos they are so round looking. Oh, no .....they are my friends, and I talk to them and scratch them. Tonight, they rushed forward expecting a scratch, and dropped down in the mud with a thud ....splashing my face with thick mud.
Will take a pic of the little darlings ....complete with mud ;D

pigs aren't pigs without that slight covering of mud .. especially the "ripe" smelling stuff!
And they good at splashing?!
They enjoy a good chat too... :D ;D

I'm glad you enjoyed it ;D We love it, but are probably completely biased ::) :D
Now, I'm sure you've got a little corner you could sneak a couple into without Dan noticing ;) ;D ;D ;D

A retired pig farmer came and had a look, as he had never seen a Kune Kune before. I think he was quite taken with them, but said their faces looked flat compared to pigs he had. I know what he means, cos when we pass neighbours pigs, their snouts look incredibly long now!!
