funny old morning today. vets been down to do tb test (fingers crossed) we only have 2 heifers and one steer. 3yr old was bought in calf, but the smaller heifer which is 2yr old in march showing signs of rather large pot belly, she is registered was just bought for breeding stock nice staight back. vet did a pd check on her and would you believe it both are in calf so she must of been caught before we bought her. the plot thickens.......................neil

we lost one of our cows yesterday :( i've now got the ob of bottle feeding her calf for her ::) wouldnt be so bad but the only thing so far i can get it to drink is goats milk!! ;D so i have to milk the goats, to feed the calf, to keep its belly happy ;D ;D

Be grateful shes taken so well to the bottle. Belgium Blue cow died with us and had to hand rear her 2 week old heifer calf on a bottle, well what a job that was to get her to take to it. 10 whole days of battling and wrestling before she finally relised that we were trying to help and not harm her. Shes so beautiful know and is 6 months old ;D

Get the calf on to a bucket rather than a bottle - much easier and simpler.
