can anyone recommend a "Back Lady" in aberdeenshire for one of our ponies that sustained an injury earlier this year and is still not back to normal. thanks

Liz Briscoe is an equine body worker who covers Aberdeednshire. Her website is www.equineinmotion.co.uk (http://www.equineinmotion.co.uk)
She might be able to help - she's very good.

thankyou rosemary ;)

I would really recommend John McManaway, he's in Fife but travels all over the UK. if you google him you'll read lots of articles about the amazing results he's had.

thanks egglady, i could only find john mcmanaway in fife that does oriental medicine? no mention of horses? does he have a website? or do u have a link?
thanks

John Macmanaway works out of Westbank Natural Health Centre in Strathmiglo, Fife (where I teach!)
Their email is westbankcentre@directsave.net and phone 01337 860233 (receptionist Margaret only works mornings til 1pm but is fab). He does people in the mornings there and horses all over the UK, including racehorses in training, he's treated a couple of mine in the past and I can highly recommend him.
They have a 1 page website for the people side but it doesn't do them any kind of justice ;)

Pauline Kidd is fantastic http://www.paulinekidd.com/equine.htm (http://www.paulinekidd.com/equine.htm) and Liz Jones regularly travels up to Aberdeenshire http://www.animalmanipulator.co.uk/ (http://www.animalmanipulator.co.uk/) - she sorted out a Comtois with a dodgy pelvis for me.
-
I know Liz well and can also recommend her. Her and John are good for different things. She's just off to Morocco sho you won't get her for a couple of weeks though :(

finally found a physio - jenny johnston and assistant.
they found the problem so its a case of special exercises and massage for a fair few weeks. will keep u posted.
he trots up sound but has injured his rump muscles (the silly bugger got his hips trapped between 2 strainers that were 12 inches apart, after he jumped out of his field in may, and had to be cut free, but had obviously struggled and hurt himself)
his rump is now unlevel but hopefully by spring he should be ok to carry on his work again.
thanx
