Title: Fly strike

Had a wether heb with bad fly strick, it has been treat and now fully healed but has no fleece on it. It is exstensive i feel, how long will it be before it grows back and can it winter outside.

I think it would be OK, it's not that long since some flocks were sheared and they pretty much scalp them if they are using professional shearers. Its amazing how quickly it thickens once it starts to fuzz up. Maybe some shelter in the fiels (even if only made of hurdles and baler twine) would help?

You'll find that the lamb will be fine outside. You really want to get him out so that he can get used to the weather before it starts to get cold. He'll eat like mad and put on a layer of fat to keep warm before he grows the wool back. He'll join the rest of the flock and the weather won't bother him at all so long as he has a full belly.
