Title: What on earth can I do with Hops!

Hi!

I have so many hop vines growing in my hedgerows I really would like to use them for something,I know they use them in brewing,but how,what,when and ??? I just have no idea,and is there any other uses for them?

If you can get them into garlands and let them dry out they are popular Chirstmas/winter decorations - could sell them.

Bit late in the year now but for next year hop shoots make a tasty veg. Also, hop pillows. Mix the dried hops with dried lavender, dried lime blossoms, dried ladies bed-straw and put in a little pillowcase lined with wadding. Especially good for sleepless children ;)

Quite a few of the home brewing books say not to use wild hops for beer making. As they taste bad. I've not tried wild hops in beer myself though.
