Hello, so glad I have found this site. My name is James and I live on the outskirts of St Andrews. Fife, Scotland. For the last 2 years I have kept Pygmy Goats. Started off with 2 brothers and now have 7 as they are so addictive. Since then I have grown my duck family from 2 to now having 17, 4 rabbits, 4 Miniature Shetland Ponies, 2 Geese, 2 Dairy Goats, 3 Cocker Spaniels, and a parrot. The 2 dairy goats were rescue, I got them about 6 months ago, at the time they were in an appauling state. Today however they are much, much better and are again loving life. I would love to add another 2 Toggenburgs perhaps but there appears to be a terrible shortage in Scotland. Sex not important as putely kept as pets, must be disbudded and castrated if male. Can any one please help?

Welcome James,
We may have sorted out the lack of Toggenburgs in Scotland now ;)

I am delighted to say that after months and months of trying to find suitable goats in Scotland - I have now. 2 minutes on this marvellous site and I find a breeder only 90 minutes from my doorstep, I am so chuffed. I am sure that Rosie and Toggi will just love their new friends when they finally arrive. Thanks so much to Beth.

Hello from Yorkshire.
Scotland's a great place full stop - is it quite rural in your neck of the woods?
-
Not at all, although we are surrounded by lots of farm land we are 10 minutes from Dundee, Edinburgh is about 45 mins away and Glasgow and Aberdeen about 90 minutes. It is a beautiful part of the world, we have many beautiful beaches on our doorstep. We have only been here 2 1/2 yrs now but love it. We bought a business here and have no complaints.

Hello James!
We are probably not very far from you and would love to meet your family of goats and ducks at some point and have a chat! We have 8 ducks, what breeds do you have? Funny thing is, we just spoke about goats the other day and that I'd love a Pigmy goat or 2... :&>

Hi Northfifeduckling
I am on Guardbridge and you are welcome to come see the goats. I have 2 Roman Geese and 17 ducks - made up of Buff Orpingtons, Kakhi Campbells and Aylebury. As we are on the side of the River Eden my geese are free range and spend all day on the river - sometimes all night too!! I did have 3 but sadly the Fox got one of them just before christmas.
