Sheep Meeting  


ADAS invites you to a sheep workshop aimed at preparing ewes and tups for Autumn tupping on a small scale sheep holding.  This meeting will be held on a host smallholding and along with both theory and practical sessions; we will discuss the problems that can arise when keeping sheep.

start 9.30 am

Topics covered:

Pre tupping condition of ewes and tups
buying replacements and biosecurity. quarantine
lameness and foot trimming
catching and handling
worming, resistance and SCOPS principles
grassland management
Common sheep ailments: foorot, abortion , fly strike 


Food and refreshments will be provided.

This training day is partially funded by Landskills West Midlands but there is a small charge of £12/person on the day.
