I've been basket weaving this afternoon for the first time and it was really good fun and surprisingly very relaxing. Started of learning the knot for a round basket. Made 4 knots in total but the test is going to be can I remember what to do when I practice at home.

Well done, I've always fancied trying that. A nice hamper to fill for Christmas would be good ;D

I'm jealous - going on a course in Ocotber but its just sooooo far away :D did you get any books beforehand to read? So jealous x x x ;D

No Melodrama I did not read any books before, I thought it could be confusing. Apparently their are lots of different styles, I think I am learning Traditional English - Norfolk Version!! What I am finding now is that my lower back is so so stiff, goodness knows what it is going to be like in the morning, but it was worth it, really relaxing - I'm sure you will enjoy your course in October and the year is passing by very quickly so it will soon be here :)
Doganjo - A Christmas Hamper would be a good idea, I would also like to learn to spin, make cheese and soap so it could make an interesting Christmas gift for a relative, trouble is I wouldn't like to say which Christmas it would be ready for :D

I am just away to start soapmaking and am really looking forward to it, hoping for the delivery today. My husband is very interested in cheesemaking and we've been looking at some great courses but they are quite expensive x
