We have loads of this low level plant creeping its way into our pasture - anyone know what it is please? The leaves are slightly silvery green and makes me think of the New Zealand rugby emblem.
Thanks in advance ;D

Looks like silverweed to me but a pic of it growing would help.

Definitely silverweed - pretty yellow daisy type flowers. Not vetch - vetch leaves aren't serrated.

Yep, i think it's silverweed too :)

Brilliant ;D thanks all.
Don't think I've seen any flowers associated with it as yet. Its particularly prevalent in the slightly shaded areas, on the north side of the hedge. We aren't particularly bothered by it - yet - as we haven't got any livestock in the field but our thoughts are that we might be getting some sheep next year so should we do something about controlling it?
Thanks again

And it says you can eat the roots.....(probably the only way to control it as it spreads ;D )

I've only just spotted this and I thought silverweed too. I wouldn't have posted except to share this : I have been told (though I've never tried it) that if you put the leaves inside your shoes when your feet are tired they will soothe your feet.

I think we now have a propper plant identification section on the forum that has not been used yet !!!

THe roots Silverweed used to be used instead of potatos!
