Mrs hothouse has put up a new trellis on our shed and was wondering if any fellow gardeners could recommend a good fast growing ivy type plant  :shoe:

Russian vine - extremely fast with pretty little white flowers.  There's a lovely bright yellow leafed climber too - will try to remember it's name.

Annie's right but it's a bit of a triffid. I've grown one and it takes over. Dan hates it. What about a nice rambling rose - we have a lovely one called Blush Noisette; flowers for months and is beautifully scented.

My fav is Akebia Quinata, but then I love chocolate.   I had one of these at an old house, quick growing,a lot less hassle than honeysuckle, doesn't weigh as much either,so good for trellis........ Ree

Still can't think what that bright yellow one was - maybe jasmine - it was like looking out on sunshine - Here's a useful link
