Title: WANTED - Nanny goat

Hi there everyone, just wondering if there might be anyone who may know of a nanny goat which may be close to kidding around the end of march for sale anywere, nothing to fancy wanted just as long as she can milk well to feed our pet lambs since were expecting a lot of triplets. We live near aberystwyth in west wales so if there anyone who can help i'd be greatful.

well dandanns maybe we would, being pure dorsets we'd probably keep the ewe lambs nd sell the ram lambs, but we'll probably have a few crossbred ewe lambs we'd sell as all are crossbred ewe lambs have been scanned in lamb and some dont take well to lambs at that age?

what re the x breds?

it would only be ewe lambs i'd be interested in

well unfortunately some would say. The sire is a jacob and the mother are polled dorset x ewes, sounds silly i now  ::)

well we thought it was a good idea as the genetics from the jacob and dorset would prduce a good milky productive ewe and would be easy lambing on the ewe lambs, and also there colour is really nice, we've had some before.

Price im not really sure as we've always reared them on ourselves, hence the purchase of the goat

when are you due to start lambing?

I've got goats here, boer x there might be something i can swap out  ;D

well the scanner told us about end of march they should start so ........ u never no. But yet there is the chance that they'll accept there lambs. But sumin has to be done though regards the triplet lambs we'll be having.

(private message)  ;D, theirs some 50% ber's upto 100% boers,youdbe better off with the lower % if you wanted them for the milk  :)

very gwd animals you have , what would be the cross bred goats be or the less boer type nannies, and how much?

I'll get a list together tonight with what i'll sell and a price  :)

i wasnt looking at selling any just yet, but could do with topping up on my ewe's, ready for next year.

Dont suppose you'd be interested in any dexters would you?  ;D

o rite no problem, wel im away now until thursday nite so ther's no rush, no sorry prefer herefords myself, bought a heifer just recently to start a new herd. Though having said that i can chech my emails during the day anyway.
