Title: Working, not lurking
Post by: YorkshireLass on May 30, 2011, 07:31:55 pm: Having checked my "history" I realised I never introduced myself - how rude!

My name's Helen, I work for a Wildlife Trust with sheep (Hebridean and Heb x) and cattle. My own personal interest is tending towads sheep though. I own two Shropshire ewes and this year's lambs (two male, 3 female); and a couple of months ago a four year old collie bitch came into my life. I have had and lost 2 trios of poultry to Mr Fox. >:(

So, general thoughts and plans are to rear lamb for the freezer, tan the lamb/sheepskins, and hopefully master the pegloom to use the shorn fleeces!
