Title: The Vorwerk does anyone have any?
Post by: Micki on May 23, 2011, 05:43:08 pm
I'm going to buy some hatching eggs and i quite like the look of the Vorwerk. Does anyone on here have any? If so are they decent layers?

I was the original importer of Vorwerks to Britain in the late 1970s.  The bantam version has been created in UK since that time.

They are indeed a beautiful bird, can be a little flighty but then they are a lightweight !!
I have known some be very quiet so it is probably all due to the method of raising/socialising.

There are quite a lot poor coloured birds around... the bosy should be buff (any shade) but no mossiness/peppering on saddle feathers.  Necks & tails jet black,  blue/grey legs.
