Title: Woolly pursuits
Post by: Lizt on January 10, 2008, 02:42:43 pm
Will soon be sheep owners again (in Brittany) so I've gotten the spinning wheels and loom out of the roof for an overhaul. I still have quite a bit of fleece and I enjoy spinning but I'm not particularly keen on knitting (and weaving is a lot of work for limited results) I should get into felt making I guess but although I enjoy the process of producing the fleece and yarn I could do with some inspiration. Any ideas?

feltting can be hard work with all the rolling that is needed but you could alway try to combine all the crafts together to make applicate (spelling ) type of work.

Hello

I am hoping to run a pegloom weaving day in brittany in the very near future!!!
It will be in Berrien near Huelgoat. Please let me know if you are interested.....ps its nothing like traditional weaving and literally eats fleece!!
