You could try www.rural-smallholdings.co.uk (http://www.rural-smallholdings.co.uk) or www.greenshifters.co.uk (http://www.greenshifters.co.uk) they cover the UK & Europe.

Good luck  :hshoe:

We advertised in Farmers Weekly and Scottish Farmer and had a huge response.  Good luck.

For Shetland you just Google Shetland Estate Agents. There are crofts here ranging from less than fifty grand to move in ready to go with polytunnels etc for around 270 grand mark.

If you can cope with the bureaucracy then France is nice.  You will need to have some command of the language or be driven mad with the frustration  :D

Land is cheap here, everything else is the same price as UK or even higher.  It can be a good great life.  Example of sites :

http://www.totalfrance.com/france/forum/index.php (http://www.totalfrance.com/france/forum/index.php)  (covers whole of France)
http://brittany.angloinfo.com/forum/ (http://brittany.angloinfo.com/forum/)  (regional has forums for each region of France)

Morning (well, it is...just!),
I know of a great place with enough land to start off with veg and poultry and income from B&B business.

Sorry for the blatant plug !

Then when settled look for extra land (croft) using any of the four or five Skye Estate agents.
