Dog soap shampoo would be good, you do not need to squirt it but rub it on in places and then wrinse off, sounds good, especilay if it had elements of flea repellant such as Lavender in it!!! :)

Now wouldn't that be good. Lavender to calm the animal and tea tree to help repell beasties. now I need to go and look at my natural animal fly repellants so I can tell Lisa the mixture of oils it has in it.

:), I end   up with more dog shampoo wasted as it runs out of my hands, I used a good baby shampoo on them last time!!!

I have made some doggie shampoo but never marketted it.  It is a solid bar made with soothing lavender and insect repelling citronella. Both natural essential oils. Its not strongly scented so that the dog smells too much after.
Was going to test it on my goats  ;)

That sounds good, maybe the dogs would prefer it to smell of FOx poo anyway!!! :D WOuld love some of that when we are back in the black as opposed to the red!

No worries Sandy  :)  it has been tested on a few local dogs and the owners said it was good but I don't have dogs so have been waiting for hot weather to try it on the goats. having said that, I did the goats with cattle shampoo other day without thinking so better use this one next time!

I can send you a sample - you could let me know then. I could market it the soap as 'animal shampoo' rather than dog if it does x

you know me I'll give anything a try and because your soap is so good I can't see it being a problem with him anyway

Would definately be interested in it. I have a lab who does get scuffy skin on her back end occassionaly so something moisurising would also be good. would oatmeal work?

I also thought I could try it on my pigs as they pee in their wallow and then get in it!!

I would also be interested in a lip balm are you still making it?

could you  message me your postal addresses please (ellisR I know I have yours somewhere but would be quicker to get it again, you know how organised I am...not... :)   )
I'll send you all a sample, you can let me know your thoughts (sandy, ellisr, eastling)

lip-balm, been a few labelling hicupps which is a pain. the lipbalms are fine and have been given the thumbs up by the people who tried them but can't sell until I sort out appropriate labels to fit the diddy little tubs, grrr. am also looking for someone in the locality (about 2 miles radius from here) who makes beeswax so I can source as local as possible x

I was going to try giving my girls a good scrub down, but my mutts decided to eat it instead - frothy mouths and...

Oh oh oh soap has arrived just need a nice fine day so I can test it on Blueshaan. He has a couple of rub marks from his fly rug so it should help there as well

Hi Lisa

The soap arrived yesterday so Jade had a shower!

It lathered well and rinsed ok, the smell of wet dog was not as bad either! Today can still faintly smell the lemon. I have attached pic of victim and pic of next victims! if they stay still long enough  ;D

Thank you for sending it. I will keep an eye out for the lip balm.

I had to bathe my old dog last night as he was stinking so I used the pet soap and oh my goodness is it good. I have a cross shepherd that stinks worse than a terrier, the soap was so easy in a bar format it lathered really well and rinsed so easily. It has left him smelling really good and I have never seen him so clean, one tiny issue was the bar smells so good he did try to eat it a couple of times ??? I am so so impressed and just praying for a nice day so that I can wash the horse, I'm sure Blueshaan will love it too. If I have any left after washing the horse (as he is very big) I want to try it on the collie and see how clean he looks afterwards.

Up date for your interest. Yesterday I bathed the pigs! :pig: :pig: they were covered in mud and pee after weeing in their wallow. They came up a treat, and smelt lovely. I used a mitten loofah and a bucket of warm water both loved it and tried to drink the soapy water from the bucket.

It was short lived, this am they had both been in the wallow so now smell just as bad!! but would def do it again.

Could advertise as soap to use b4 a show as I know people wash/bath them in preparation for a show.

If I ever have a warm weekend I will wash Blue as he needs it with all the rain and mud, but Rusky (dog) is still looking extra clean and smalls ok which is very unusual for him as he normally stinks
