Sounds to me as if they have orf, you need to give the a couple of mls of antibods and spray the crusty bits with an antiseptic spray (Blue) as for the eye, we had a lamb with a cloudy eye and our farmer friend injected into the bottom eye lid with antibods and it solved the problem, not a nice thing to do and should only be done by someone who knows what they are doing

For the cloudy eye get Orbenin or similar eye ointment from the vet, otherwise it will just get worse and spread to the others. When you put it in, pull the lower eyelid out and make sure plenty goes down there, then again lift the upper eyelid and get some under that too.

Hi,

Antibiotics wont help with orf - which is a viral infection. They will however, help to stop any secondary infection which is the big problem with orf.

If it becomes a widespread problem, try ovaloid capsules or orph paste which are orf preparations, or as someone else posted in another thread, sulphur and salt as an ad-lib lick.

Thanks

Forgot to mention - if it is orf it is highly infectious - both to other sheep AND people - wear gloves when handling the ones affected!

Thanks

Let us know after opening hours today what the vet reckons, cos that where I would take anything with those symptoms.
