Hi,
As I mentioned in my previous thread we were off to view some smallholdings on Friday. Fortunately we managed to sell our London house within 48 hours so we were in a good position on the day. We narrowed it down to a short list of 2 and have just had an offer accepted on a property with 6.5 acres in Lincolnshire !.
Very excited, it's a proper old farmhouse that has been in the same family for 100 years, needs a bit of updating but isn't falling down and has lots of big outbuildings. It's slightly outside our original search area but following a tip from a fellow TAS member I realised I can commute from Grantham.
Thanks again to everyone for their tips I'm sure we'll be making great use of the collective TAS wisdom in the months / years to come. Once we've exchanged I'll post some pictures (don't want to tempt fate too much (though of course being a scientific person I'm not at all superstitious ;)))
;D ;D

Well done on both sale and purchase agreements and good luck for successful completion of both :)
So once you have your wellies on, what plans do you have for your 6.5 acres and buildings? What a great time you'll have working out what will go where and setting up your dream at last :)

Congratulations!
Your heads will be buzzing with plans but don't forget to take some time to relax and enjoy the moment. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in plans and what needs to be done next, and next and next. There will always be things to improve, but do take time to chillax, look at the flowers, listen to the birds. This is "do as I say, not as I do" advice but it is seriously meant. Enjoy your new life.

Remember to take lots of 'before' photos before you start, and as you are going along too - you won't remember otherwise and it's a good boost to the ego and motivation to see what you have achieved as you progress.

Congratulations - sounds like the start of a lot of fun and hard work!
