Title: Friendly lambs
Post by: Rosemary on April 02, 2011, 09:02:28 pm
I generally find that tup lambs are friendlier than ewe lambs, which is a bit of a bummer really. Anyone else find the same or different?

We find that wethers are especially friendly, and some 'lines' produce friendlier offspring than others, rather than it being generally a sex thing.

Last year we only had lambs that came with their mums and yes Ramie Lamie was the tamest - in fact the ewe lambs only got close at the start of the winter when they wanted feed - so now will see what happens with lambs born here!!

Hmm, yes, I think if the ewe is comfortable with folk, the lamb is too. Not surprising really.
