The moon was so beautiful last night. Enormous and very golden. Just like in a kids' picture book. But I don't think we'll see it tonight as the sky is full of clouds.

Hiya

We have watched the Moon for the last 2 nights - last night she was silver & glittering, tonight she is more golden with an amazing aura.  It's an amazing sight at the moment, as there are fast-moving clouds sweeping the sky too.

I saw it rising last night - the colour of a dark free-range egg yolk and huge.  Still very bright but normal colour once up.  I haven't been following this - why is it so bright?

It's because this is the nearest it's been to us for an extremely long time.

I wondered why I couldn't see it from my house.  Came home in the dark last night and discovered why - too low, plus lots of other higher houses and a belt of trees blocking my view.  It's really low in the sky just now too.  Managed a couple of shots but they're not great.  The street lights don't help.

I saw it the other night and it was bright.  The brightest for 20 years due to being so close to the earth.  did not need a torch to wander down the piggery.  The milk way was also fantastic as well.  I often enjoy moon lit walks around the piggery  it comes to life or should I say it is certainly different at night.  pigs sleeping, pigs eating, pigs wandering around, pigs mating sometimes.    A different noise also from the day light hours.
