Title: The Duck
Post by: sabrina on January 20, 2011, 10:22:47 am
Well we now know for sure that he is a she, after being told that I had 4 Drakes my duck started laying eggs this week. She still does not quack but makes a very loud honking noise. Much as I would love for her to stay with three males there could be trouble so she is going to live with my friend Mike who has lots of ducks. The boys will just be pets.  :&>

How old is she now?  I'm still not sure about my three babies - they were hatched mid September - so about 19 weeks now

I'd give away all but one of the boys and get some more girls!  :&> :&> :&> :&>
Shame you are so far away, I'd happily rescue her! :&>

She is about 24 weeks old, the boys all have the curly tail which they have had for ages now. I am more than happy just to have the boys around as pets I so enjoy there little ways and when I go out to feed everything in the morning they go mad as soon as they hear my voice. I think I am mum as far as they are concered as i chatted to them all through their hatching.
