Hi,

how old is to old to castrate a ram over the age of 4?

Advice please.

Would need to speak to your vet. The older they get the harder it can be but the vet would be the person to ask, as they will be performing the procedure.

Let us know what they say, Emily, please.  I may want to keep Skyhawk on as a fleece sheep and he will eventually have daughters in the flock...

Whether castration will reduce aggression I don't know, but Skyhawk has (thus far) never been anything other than a complete gentleman  :love: :sheep:

My neighbours had her 5 rams of various ages done some years ago.
