Title: Of Horses and Men - (Icelandic film)
Post by: namethatsheep on January 19, 2020, 04:45:26 pm
I recently watched this film and considered doing a review but then after reading a film review from the Guardian some years back thought 'I can't better that' so here's the weblink https://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/jun/12/of-horses-and-men-review-iceland-peter-bradshaw (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/jun/12/of-horses-and-men-review-iceland-peter-bradshaw). The only bit I didn't like was the a small section similar to that within the Revenant, primarily because the weather was not bad enough for such action to be necessary - you'll see what I mean if you view the film. The manner of the herd separation at the end of the film reminded me of other cultures  e.g. Kyrgyz where I've witnessed similar happenings.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the film -it's available from FOPP and HMV.
