Got 2 tups booked in to abbatoir in morning, one has been inside, other has been out until tonight.
Now inside.
But someone has told me I need to trim underneath?
I was thinking of using hairdryer to dry him off and try and brush him clean.
Any advice please?
Really want to see the back of these 2, they were not banded right :(

The abattoir will expect the bellies to be clipped out. Ours make a small charge if they have to do it.

The most important thing is that the animals are thoroughly dagged, and their bellies are clean and dry. Otherwise it can contaminate the meat, so they will clip out any animals that look dirty and charge you for that.
We bring ours in the afternoon before they’re going, dag them if they need it, and bed them on plenty of clean straw overnight. Their bellies are dry by morning ;)

I've taken quite a lot of lambs to different places and never trimmed bellies. I would make sure they are clean behind and also dry. The places I take mine usually keep them in a lairage overnight, so they will dry off more if they are damp.
Just seen this was posted yesterday - be interested to hear how you got on and what they said about triming bellies?

Normally belly clipping and dagging is from October onwards when conditions are muddy and fleeces are dirty which can contaminate the carcass

Well, I had the hair dryer on one till about 12.30 last night ::) , didn't get turned away, so presume they are OK, some in there were almost white, other muckier than mine, but shorter fleece, none looked to be dagged or belly trimmed. Mine did look a bit dark round the back end, but not dirty,
There were pictures up in the office of what was/wasn't acceptable.
Just wish I'd known how wet it was going to be yesterday! :(
Anyway, thank goodness they've gone, but probably already got their half sisters by the time I realised the banding wasn't right so no idea if or when any lambs due.
