So im in the process of potentially buying my first small pedigree flock of texels, i already run a small commercial flock but am drawn to the pedigrees. Question is to those who buy pedigree stock do you prefer them mv accredited or not? If i go down the mv line I'm probably going to try and get mv accreditation on all stock i have as it just seems easier with lambing and moving fields etc. What are your thoughts?
many thanks

If you look at the pedigree auction sale catalogues the majority of stock for sale is MV accredited, so if you don't become MV acc then potentially your customer base for your stock is limited to the mainly commercial market that don't bother with mv accreditation.

MV accredited will command a higher price too!

Works both ways so will cost you more to get started with a pedigree flock. Plus the cost of MV testing needs to be taken into account.

Can sell MV to all, all will not want non-MV
