Title: Flies on calves
Post by: Small family farm on August 23, 2019, 11:44:56 pm
Just wondering if it is safe to spray a little bit of fly raid on the calves back to remove and keep flies off of her.

Do you mean the Raid that comes in a can  , if so then I wouldn't be spraying it on a calf !  have a look at fly treatment for horses

Spot on works very well.

Citronella or tea tree work but you have to keep reapplying.

I keep meaning to have a go with the Battles products.

I use Spotinor (used to be Pfizer Spoton) monthly on the cattle. Seems to help - also protects against ticks although not licenced for that.
