Title: Bird Flue
Post by: pgkevet on July 26, 2019, 06:33:05 pm
So this morning V heard a scrabbling in the Rayburn flue. I opened the sweeping port, shone lights and mirrors but nowt seen..left port open and a few minutes later a hedge sparrow was flying around the kitchen..released. I closed the port.20 mins later we had a repeat excercise. This time I left the port open at the end...and 30 mins later a third hedge sparrow (or the same one 3 times). Weird. Flue has standard pointy hat but no mesh on sides (not easily accessed to do).First time in our 8 years here. They say things happen in threes..

Have you installed your one flue over a cuckoo's nest perhaps?  :coat: :coat: :coat:
