Anyone know what meat would be like in a kune kune cross with oxford sandy black? And what weight they would grow to? Thanks

I haven't experienced this cross so I can't say what the meat is likely to taste like. I have had Kune pork. It was very dark meat. I have also had OSAB which was a very pale meat. Kune's grow very slowly and OSAB's are slower than other traditional pigs.

All pigs will just keep growing if you let them but I imagine you will need to keep an eye on fat levels and send in around 70/80 kilo's LW.

We bought some Kune Kune x OSB weaners a few years ago. We thought they may graze the grass in their pen rather than digging it up. They didn't, but they did produce lovely meat. The only problem was that there was more fat than pure bred OSB. You might need to reduce their feed to stop this happening.
