Title: Gosling on chick crumbs
Post by: Penninehillbilly on July 05, 2019, 01:47:52 pm
Hi, realised gosling are already 6wk old! I am still giving chick crumbs for their coming in feed at night, probably about 4oz between them, is this still OK or should I be getting them something else? TIA

How much grass do they have? We gradually change them to poultry growers and grass from 3 weeks. At 6 weeks they are mainly on grass with some poultry growers at night to encourage them into the goose house.

Thanks Possum, They are out on 5 acre with mum and aunties ?.not much point in switching to growers at this point then ?. They do seem to be doing well, so hopefully the few oz won't harm them. I presume they finish up theirs quickly, then help mum with her soaked wheat and mixed flake in water.
