Title: Rotation
Post by: Penninehillbilly on May 28, 2019, 11:51:39 am
Hi, anyone use a 4 year rotation?
I'm trying to get veg garden running again, bit late I know.
But I have potatoes, followed by brassica, which comes next, P&B, or roots?
TIA

Here is a standard one often used in the UK

The same site has other plans for different numbers of years.

Thanks cloddoper, thought nobody loved me  :D
Well that's a surprise, I always thought brassicas followed spuds, so the land could be limed and lime gone before spuds came round again.
I'll rearrange drawing board  :)

Apparently brassicas follow peas/beans as they need alot of Nitrogen in the soil for their leafy growth.
