My two sow’s live in about an acre and a half of wood land plenty of space and mixed surface.
Two and a half weeks a go I noticed one sow is lame had a look nothing noticeable.
Gave it a spray with some foot spray waited a few days. No improvement called the vet treatment given some Metaca and antibiotics waited a week no improvement.
Called vet out again another £120. Examination of food showed nothing. Vet did not want to sedate her because of associated risk.
Two types of antibiotics given this time and metacalm again.
She is clearly not happy and I am at my wits end as can’t see her in pain.
She is 2 years old. Not sure what to do.
If it was a ligament injury it should have shown signs of improvement.
Not sure what to try next.

It could be a joint injury so i would recommend Lincoject and Loxicom. If there is a chance of infection then i would also advise Pen & Strep

We had a similar problem which did not respond to antibiotics. Our pig seemed to improve then go down again. We gave added vits and minerals as her skin was very dry with no mites.
Eventually decided it was possibly Mycoplasma arthritis. Got treatment but it wasn't diagnosed early enough and we had to dispatch.
It's seemingly common but not all pigs show symptoms.

Sorry for the slow update yes it did resolve its self. Forked our a fortune in vets fees this month feeling very poor.
