We are up in Aberdeenshire, so have been looking on Rural Payments.
We were thinking we could have planted trees along our fence boundary, in which years to come would also provide shelter for any livestock in the field.
Struggling to figure out how to go about this, questions seem a little confusing on the website?! Anyone in this area applied and been successful?

Yes I've planted trees but it was through a previous RP scheme so might not be relevant to the current one. It was pretty complicated and fir a few trees alinf a boundary I would suggest getting in touch with the woodland trust, they helped me a lot and I think the have a scheme where they supply subsidised trees and tubes.
