I’ll be there, hopefully with a friend or two but, if not, I’ll come alone again. I’ll certainly be there to see them and maybe sneak a cuddle.

I think I might have to charge for cuddles and photos, I'd make a fortune!

I would like to go but it depends on whether our goat has kidded or not. Husband not so keen on midwife bit if called for. If anyone is interested my old spinning wheel will be for sale on the Brecknock Guild stand.

It looks like I'm going on my own although I will no doubt bump into a few people that I know. Wish I could do both days because there is so much to see but I would need someone with me for that. OH did offer to come with me but he would be totally bored and also has arthritis in his left knee which prevents him from walking too far. We would end up going for numerous cups of tea so he could sit down and then we'd leave by 3pm so I'm much better off going on my own so I can leave right at the end.

Getting  :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:  now.

Forget excited. I'm not  :'( :'( :'( . I'm not going to Wonderwool this year after all.  :'( :'( . Yesterday, OH and I went supermarket shopping with me in my power chair as usual. It started to play up, slowing right down and veering to the left. OH pushed the cable that connects the controls to the battery with no affect. I tried unplugging it then plugging it back in but still had problems. Fast forward to getting it in the car. We have an electric hoist to lift it and into the back of the car, which OH does if we're out together (I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself but you know what they say about boys and toys). Once it's in the car, the chair has to be turned manually before it's lowered into position. OH discovered that the cylinder behind the left front wheel was extremely hot. Chair has to go in to the engineers which can't be before Monday.

As there is no way I could walk from the car park even as far as the entrance booth, I can't go on Saturday. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'm  :'(  x  :gloomy:  x  .

Enjoy yourselves, everyone that's going and hope to see you next year.

Really sorry you can't get there. I can feel the frustration in your message. Nothing I can really say apart from, although I don't know you, I just want to send you a

Oh no, that's not fair, so sorry.
I know it probably won't help because you still won't manage a day walking about but there's a minibus up from the carpark or you should be able to park up near the halls with your blue badge.Have you checked with Chrissie?

NTIA, hugs accepted from people I don’t know as well as those I do, thank you.A stranger is only a friend you haven’t met yet.

DW, I always park it the disabled car park but it’s still a distance. Today I told a friend that I couldn’t go and she said she could push me in a manual chair but it’s too late to try and get hold of one. She fancies coming next year though.

Thank you, Geraint. I'm hoping the weather is better tomorrow so that I can at least console myself with getting in the garden for the day.

I'm sad I won't see your babies, Debbie.

Perhaps next year we should organise a visit in March.Although I have a dairy goat still to kid, any day now so if you came soon there'll still be little babies to cwtch.Just going to do a last check and feed before I collapse into bed.  Speak soon.

A visit sounds good. I also need to visit Beeducked who took in my last goat, Caldi, who recently gave birth to twins.

The goat that was stopping me getting to wonderwool kidded on friday but I still couldn't go because one of the twins was very weak. She died during the night last night and I actually feel relieved that she's not struggling any more. Of course it has to be that the remaining twin is a billy, not so good for a dairy goat. You're right goats get to you!

Hope you get mobile again today MGM.  Wonderwool was good as usual ….  (too much temptation to spend even for those of us who don't spin :) )

Do think it would be easy for the organisers to allow people with disability to be dropped much nearer …. most of site is not in use so shouldn't be difficult.  …. many people who 'work in wool' have mobility problems … should be catered for properly.

There is a car park nearer than the main one and fairly near the entrance and it's usually fairly full. I need my chair to get round as well. I should get it back by Friday at a cost of £305!! The brake was jamming on the left drive wheel. Of course the engineer can't just order a new brake. It has to be a whole unit of motor and brake. The labour is only £30. Probably just as well I did miss Wonderwool. I couldn't have afforded to go and buy things. Thank goodness the trouble started before I went rather than afterwards. The chair will be given a check over as well so should be ok for the next year or so.
