Hello, has anyone recently bought an easy to use lamb cam? I’m looking for one that I can have in the lambing shed (4 ewes) and view on my phone via an app. There is power and WiFi. The shed is a good 200m from the house.
And I don’t want to spend too much £!! Many thanks :-)

I have a foscam. very impressed, not sure I would justify it for 4 sheep though. For 350 it saved employing a night lamber.

I have a random CCTV camera I got from amazon, it came with an app system that works on phone/tablet/laptop with a bit of jiggerypokery to make sure it worked. I used it last year for 2 ewes, and it was definitely worth having, although they do have a bit of a habit of finding the blindspots in the stable, no matter how I orient the camera.

Hi! I've had CCTV cameras for several years now. I would highly recommend a firm called Digital Direct Security. They are on the internet. They sell all sorts of cameras and would recommend what would be suitable if you tell them what you want to do. Once you've put up the cameras, they then will help with the remote setup on your computer. Their after sales support is excellent.
You can then watch on your phone using an app called Goolink.

For small numbers of sheep it is much cheaper to note exactly when they are tupped giving a pretty accurate date (within 2 days) of when they will lamb …. not a big deal to check every 2 hours in day and get up 1or 2 times in night for few days. …. and if you have not over fed (biggest issue usually for people with just few sheep) then they should lamb quite happily without you anyway.
I can see a 'lamb cam' being a useful addition for larger flocks.
