Title: Sheep not home for DEFRA inventory
Post by: wannabesmallholder on December 19, 2018, 10:52:27 pm
My sheep are currently away for tupping. Does this mean that in my inventory I answer “no” to “are you a keeper of sheep” because they weren’t here on the 1st December?

As we send them away for tupping they are likely to always be off my land on the 1st December, which would mean that officially I am never a keeper of sheep, even though they are there the rest of the year?  ???

There is a section that details the holding you keep them on, so you would enter the sheep that you "keep" and their current location on the holding they are being tupped on. There are quite detailed guidance notes available that should help you with this
