for the last 2 weeks i have a hen that has been showing signs of some kind of sickness, first i noticed she really cant move and when she does, its more of a wobble, seems as though her equilibrium is off balance, she is eating and drinking regular, but i have to give her food in her area where she will not move at all until she lays an egg, one everyday. i have checked her out and there isn't any mucus or fluids on any part of her body. someone said it could be a bird flu which is very dangerous. anyone have any suggestions, are the eggs that she is laying OK to eat? also Ive been feeding them a laying pellet blend.

isnt bird flu a very very bad thing? as in get the authorities in sort of thing? how old is the hen? if she is laying eating drinking then she seams fine maybe she injured when chick and got disformed in some way?

If it is only one, she's eating, drinking and pooing ok (as in no runny discoloured droppings) it is more likely that she has got an injury to her leg/foot or both of them, or dislocated something like ker hip? If this has been going on for two weeks then it is certainly not infectious?
What about bumblefoot?

Any bugs underneath the scales in her legs?

If she's eating, drinking and pooing ok I'd check her legs and feet. Check the scales on her legs as smallholder says, and check under her feet to see if there's anything stuck in her foot.
Is her comb still nice and red, or has it gone droopy and blue?
Is she breathing ok? It might not be bird flu but could be bronchitis. But I think it's unlikley to be a virus if the rest of your birds are ok.
