Title: Interested in starting a group smallholding Stockport?
Post by: Henna84 on September 08, 2018, 01:25:28 pm
Hi!

My wife and I are thinking about starting a community smallholding where we would grow vegetables and also keep a dairy cow, some pigs, chickens, possibly rabbits.

We live in Stockport, nr Manchester and would be looking for a group of possibly 10 people/families who would be interested in sharing in the costs, work and produce of our endeavour.

We are both meat eaters but are becoming increasingly unhappy about modern farming methods and the inevitable cruelty to animals that large scale production entails.

Our inspiration is something like the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall project - Bramble Farm.

All comments welcome.
