Title: Dandelions in profusion
Post by: PK on August 26, 2018, 09:35:19 pm
With some recent rain after prolonged drought my three 1 acre fields are greening up again but one of them is now thick with dandelions. Is there are realistic way of managing this without spraying?

Graze them.

I second that. Very few dandilions in my fields where the sheep graze but loads in the  grassy bits the sheep can't get to. They adore them. Even if you're letting the grass recover a bit now, the sheep will get them next year.

Graze them, they are full of minerals.  I harvest the seed heads from our garden and sprinkle them on the fields!!  ;D
