Wheat straw, well packed, (@240kg), suitable for feeding or bedding. Our cattle and donkeys actually prefer this to barley straw. £25/bale, or discount for quantity.
-
How many do you have?
-
About 400.
-
Noted for future reference
(we've currently no storage ::) )
-
Because the bales are round they store well outside. Last winter we were using some that had been outside for 3 years. It was only the outer inch or so that was wet and our donkeys still ate it with relish.

Just out of interest what relish do they prefer ?

:roflanim: They're donkeys - they're not too fussy.
Possibly Bransons is they're favourite. :thinking:
