Title: Willow herb/fireweed
Post by: mojocafa on August 01, 2018, 08:19:00 am
I have a huge amount of willow herb/fireweed. Is it safe for the goats to eat the flower and the stem?

Is this Rosebay Willlowherb? That will be fine, mine love it - flowers and all.

If it runs to seed and produces those prodigious amounts of fluffy seed heads, would that be a problem?

Only if you don't want "more" excellent forage next year.  Mine love it!
If it tries to grow in the fields it's got no chance anyway  :) . Chomped out before its first breath  ;D
