Do you think this makes a good general drench?

Hi Andy,  We've used Combinex for the past 12 months.  Its fine for the worms, my sheep show no signs of have any infestation of this nature, but I believe its protection against fluke is a little limited.  I would think if you have particularly high risk wet land it would be better to use a separate fluke treatment.  Its probably fine if your land is well drained and low risk, which ours is.

We are in kent, a little village called ightham, near sevenoaks, we dont have a smallholding unfortunatly as we only have an acre garden, so the sheep will be kept in a few fields at the local stables where my daughter rides, they have 30 acres on the side of a small valley and some areas not used as paddocks, so they will get a few lambs in the freezer as payment. ;D

Sounds like a good deal you have there.  We only have 2 acres at home and 1 acre of that is woodland, so we rent 11 acres of relatively flat but well drained grazing a couple of miles away - but we have to pay for ours!!!!  ;)

Hello again Andy, hope your head is OK after last night!!!  In reply to yesterdays post, sorry for the delay: I work here, looking after sheep (38) kids (2) chickens (7 but increasing, more coming this week), veg patch (getting bigger) and studying for an MA in History.  OH is self employed plumber and frustrated farmer.  He helps me with the heavy work but would rather stick to farming full time.  We are always on the look out for more land so we can increase our stocking levels but its difficult to find anything - One day we might both be full time farmers!!!
