Title: sheep shearing and electric
Post by: juliem on June 07, 2018, 12:49:45 pm
as I explained in previous post about folding up the fleece..........chap who is coming to shear will be using the electric in the barn. The electric comes from the house which is rented out.

Previous shearers have bought a generater before so how much electic do you think they will use......I know the tenants will say it doesn't matter etc if I ask them to read the meter.)They are brilliant tenants. There's 35 ewes and 2 tups.
Normally in the house you know what uses a lot of electric....but this is a new one for me.

They will hardly use any power - certainly no more than a quid's worth for 37 sheep  .

They’ll probably get all 35 done inside the space of a couple of hours. So maybe a kilowatt hour or so.
