Hi Andy

I am also in Kent - near Canterbury - I have 35 ewes at the moment and I am picking up another 25 on Friday. Mine are a mixture of pedigree Romney and Jacobs.

What sort of thing are you looking for?

Cheers

thanks for your reply, im looking for a nice breed that have nice meaty lambs, that handle and lamb well, that also will work hard for there food, (scrubland) i like the look of the Romney, I have got 10 store lambs at the moment, southdowns, doing well and going in october to the abottoir, and looking to move up to the next stage.

Hello

Personally I think that the Romney is a great breed, they are docile and easy to handle and lamb very well either indoors or outdoors. I lambed in April and my first batch are heading off in two weeks with an average weight of 43kg which I am very pleased with...

There are quite a few people selling ewes at the moment ahead of the big sale in Ashford in October. Let me know if you want to be put in touch with them.

Cheers
