Title: What’s wrong with this chicken’s eye?

Any ideas what this might be?

She is otherwise completely fine- eating, drinking and running about as normal.

looks like avian pox, but I would ask a vet. Isolate the bird. It is contagious and can take a few weeks to spread through your whole flock! Can also be spread by biting insects! Most healthy birds make a full recovery, it looks awful though!

Really? I thought pox was many modules all over he non feathered bits? I’ve never seen it in the flesh though so no experience. This is just one eye - extremely swollen.

its difficult to say without seeing her, which is why I recommend a vet however I had pox in my birds a few years ago and many looked like this, some just had the odd spot and some showed no signs at all. Now maybe she has been fighting with another bird or just got something in her eye...
